Logistics & Warehouse Manager:

The Logistics and Warehouse Manager will develop and implement management of the planning, supervision, and reporting of all logistic activities at XACT Robotics’ US based site.  Increasing warehouse efficiency and safety.  This is a highly visible role reporting directly to the Vice President, Operations.

 

What You Will Do:

The Logistics and Warehouse Manager will be responsible for planning, managing, and monitoring logistics required to support the company’s Commercial and Sales Operations Teams and manage the warehouse.

Responsibilities include and are not limited to:

WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT

  • Manage US site warehouses – oversee receiving, inventory levels, receiving inspection, physical counts, delivery/shipment, scheduling to meet the demands of the fulfillment center, support service team and reconciling with data storage system
  • Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and loading dock area by developing, implementing and accelerate adoption of security procedures and protocols
  • Ensure all storage environments are validated and kept in good working condition

LOGISTICS

  • Lead all scalable logistic processes to align with business objectives, ensuring appropriate stocking levels to meet demand and minimize inventory costs
  • Initiate, coordinate, and enforce the operation units’ strategic objectives, policies and procedures while maintaining a steady workflow for maximum efficiency
  • Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by understanding existing and new legislation and informing management on needed actions
  • Oversight and execution of US Logistics, including intercompany inventory transfer, Import/Export, primary freight forwarders, all national carrier movements, fulfillment cycle and warehouses
  • Plan and execute logistic budgets while supporting business expansion and operating costs improvement
  • Participate in carrier management processes such as selection, qualification, or performance evaluation

OPERATIONS/PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS

  • Provide excellent customer service and compliance with company procedures and processes.
  • Provide leadership for continuous improvement programs and processes, including Operational excellence (Op Ex), root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action
  • Resolve and manage technical or tactical operations/problems and communicate to stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Ensure materials, material handling and transport is compliant, safe, and efficient
  • Proficient understanding of software functionality, and manages cycle counts, creation and closure of bill of materials, material transfers, and inventory reconciliation
  • Manages the opening and closure of deviations, CAPA’s and Change Controls, investigate and close deviations. Revise and review GMP documentation
  • Challenges status quo to maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs, training, or safety records
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport companies

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Logistics & Warehouse Management within the medical device or Life Science industries; inclusive of the development, implementation, and adoption management of logistics procedures, policies, training programs, safety programs and work practices
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or any field related to logistics management
  • Proven experience with process controls, verification, and validation activities, Corrective & Preventive action
  • Strong communication skills, ability to lead and the ability to collaborate with all levels within the organization
  • Strategic thinker, but also highly skilled at tactical execution
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
